Lifestyle Medicine Coaching Program
Young women are facing many cultural challenges (social, academic, family, career etc…) and sadly develop an internal narrative that is often critical, harsh, negative and lacks self-confidence. The over emphasis on problems can cause young women to become unknowingly self-absorbed. The constant dwelling on the bad, the negative and their problems robs them from living a life of purpose and joy. Dr. Katie uses a coaching-oriented approach to mental health that assesses 5 core areas of development - relational, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. She coaches clients to build a healthier relationship with themselves and others.
Dr. Katie specializes in Lifestyle Medicine which teaches foundational principles related to how one lives their everyday life and how that affects their mental health. She has developed an assessment tool to help guide the process and in it clients learn the importance of creating habits around 10 essential lifestyle factors:
Sleep
Nutrition
Fitness
Substance Use
Time in nature
Fun
Relaxation
Serving Others
Social
Faith
Lifestyle medicine principles are incorporated in every aspect of care. She has specifically designed a 1-on-1 coaching program that looks at each of the essential elements in depth and helps clients create a plan for habit change.
